Thanks to a rash of WordPress hacking going on this weekend, I finally had to get around to updating the software running this part of the site. So far things are looking okay, but I’m sure there’s lots of little stuff that has yet to be dealt with.

Ah, the joys of technology…

Well, I’ve been sucked into the personality-spam blackhole that is Twitter. A handy way to post random things to a site – let’s see how long I keep up with it… :doze:

The good news? Plenty of update to the site. The not as good news? Still way behind on picture posts. Shocking, I know. :doze:

Here’s what’s been going on:

• Random Pic on the News page
• New headings for the News page to tie it a bit more into the rest of the site
• Playing with displaying the News on the Main page – not sure if I like the presentation, though…
• Because you never demanded it! Four, count ’em, four random corner graphics for the Main page. Embrace the silliness! Or not.
• When adding pictures to the site, there’ll now be “Updated” and “New” indicators so folks will know what’s been added. At least that’s the way it’s supposed to work.

I think that’s all for now. Now, what to break next… 😉

Now this section of the site is starting to fit in a bit better. I still need to tweak some of the colors, but so far, so good.

At the moment it’s a bit of a hack job, so if it causes anyone’s webbrowser to barf, please let me know…

After some hassles here and there with the old webhost, I finally took the plunge and moved the site to a new home. In addition to (hopefully) increased stability, I’ve been able to convert the News and Pictures sections over to some new software. Things are looking good so far, but don’t be surprised if you run across some broken links here and there while we get settled in.

I’ve still got to update this part of the site to fit in with everything else, looks-wise, but I’ve already been able to post some new shots in the Pictures section. Enjoy!

Not sure what the deal is, but apparently the folks that host my domain have been having some issues lately. :angry: Hopefully they’ve got it all figured out, but I’m starting to think it may be time to find a new home for the site…

Okay, I’ll admit it – I gave into the peer pressure. Smilies have successfully infiltrated the site and are, as we speak (read?), wrecking havok hither and yon. Use ’em in good health. 😛

Well, I think I’ve finally got the hang of Greymatter, and so far things are working pretty well. Still need to get everything looking the way I want, but otherwise we’re good to go. Gotta love that. 🙂 Now let’s see if I keep this sucker more up-to-date or not. And why should I have all the fun? There are also some new bells and whistles you get to play with:
– post your own comments
– search for older entries
– view entries by month

I know – I can’t stand the excitement either. 😉
